(More customer reviews)I think Sid the Science Kid is an adorable show as do my boys, so I knew they would enjoy this one. It is a show about a kindergarten class that uses science to learn. There are four friends, each different and unique, but all best friends. This DVD is especially neat because it is all about weather, which is a hard subject to explain to kids, at least to my 3 year old! The episodes cover rain and clouds, using sunscreen and the sun, snow and cold temperatures, and wind! Sid has some great adventures in these episodes and the show really does explain science in a way for young kids to understand. There is also lots of singing involved, which is quite cute! Overall, I would recommend this DVD to any parent looking for ways to help their children understand why rain is okay, what clouds really are (no not cotton candy!), why sunscreen is important, how cold weather can be fun, and how wind can be fun (flying kites!)

If you are looking for hot, soft core sex withattractive actresses, this is probably more up your alley. Judy Thompson is gorgeous and seems more believable in her sex scenes than pretty much any other actress I've ever seen on Cinemax. Great sex, gorgeous actresses, a couple of great lesbian/threesome scenes, just enough plot to get from one sex scene to the next without dragging on or seeming forced.

After seeing YOU WILL MEET A TALL DARK STRANGER, it's obvious why Woody Allen is much more highly regarded--and respected-in France than the U.S. The French appreciate films about relationships--especially Rohmer's films about relationships, such as MY NIGHT AT MAUD'S, CLAIRE'S KNEE, SUMMER, PAULINE AT THE BEACH, BOYFRIENDS AND GIRLFRIENDS, AN AUTUMN TALE, etc. Like Woody's recent films--especially MATCH POINT and VICKY CHRISTINA BARCELONA--YOU WILL MEET A TALL DARK STRANGER follows in the same footsteps. The common denominator amongst those films is FATE or PREDESTINATION. Woody seems to be saying that no matter what we do, things will work out in their own way. He is getting much more Zen-like in his golden years. Although YOU WILL MEET A TALL DARK STRANGER wasn't as funny like MANHATTAN MURDER MYSTERY, ANNIE HALL or PLAY IT AGAIN SAM nor was it as deep like CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS, HANNAH AND HER SISTERS, or MANHATTAN--it is still a worthwhile film to see. Especially for Woody Allen fans. And the French.

(More customer reviews)A big doll-house is the spectacular set of this stylished comedy, the second movie of Lewis as filmmaker, with the cartoon-style, sarcastic comicity, oniric visual imagination, calculated gag timing and technical curiosity characteristic in Lewis' cinematographic creations. The day of his college graduation, Herbert Heebert ( Jerry Lewis ) discovers that is being dumped by his childhood sweetheart. Heartbreaked and bored of women he decides to abandon his town and takes a job as servant in Miss Wellonmellon's house, a retired opera star, cheated by this and her housekeeper, only to discover the next morning he has been hired at an all-female boarding house. Creative direction, George Raft and Buddy Lester's funny cameos, patiently cooked sight-gags that frequently deepens into cartoon imaginary and a musical surreal sequence with Harry James and his band makes " The ladies man " one of Lewis' best films.

And the great voice actor Paul Frees (best known as the voice of Boris Badenov in "The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle") does an amazing job as the voice of the villain, Kubla Kraus. Don't miss him singing the "Rub-a-Dub" song! (Which is usually cut from TV broadcasts of this film.) "Jack Frost" is another extraordinary film by Romeo Muller, who also wrote the classic Animagic, Rankin/Bass Christmas films, "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Frosty the Snowman," among many other enchanting tales.
