Dancing Outlaw Review

Dancing Outlaw is a classic documentary of a tap dancer and Elvis impersonator from Boone County, West Virginia. The documentary is both comical and sad but it gives a glimpse of life that you probably would not believe unless you saw it. I've first saw a dubbed version of this video several years ago that was of rather poor quality. I recently found "Dancing Outlaw" as well as "Dancing Outlaw II, Jesco Goes To Hollywood" both on a single DVD. The DVD is available for $49.95 on www.dancingoutlaw.com. I purchased the DVD and have now viewed the recently released DVD and it is of much better quality that the VHS tape and offers all the advantages of DVD including the viewing quality not diminishing with use and time.
What Amazon does not tell you in the above description is this DVD includes both "Dancing Outlaw" and "Dancing Outlaw II: Jesco Goes to Hollywood" and the video viewing time is 101 minutes. Still $99 is too much to pay when you can get the identical video directly from the producer for 1/2 the price.
I own a copy and I highly recommend it.

Just picked this one up the other day. AWESOME!!! If you even liked the TV series even a little bit (and c'mon now - ya gotta love Julian, Ricky and Bubbs!) this is a great laugh. Loved it!! It's was pretty cool to see some Canadian musical talent in the show too!. Alex Lifeson (Rush), Hugh Dillon (Headstones) and Gord Downie (Tragically Hip) play the parts of a cop, club-owner and another cop, respectively.
Just crack open the beers, put the feet on the table and get ready to laugh your socks off.
Yes, it might be considered to be "low budget" but that truly is one of the magic things about TPB. And, always remember: "A dope trailer is no place for a kitty!"

Trailer Park Boys: The Complete Series Review

The Trailer Park Boys...what can I say...if you get the white trash street humor you will love it, if you don't you won't like it. This series is a "mockumentary" that follows hapless knuckleheads and all of their trailer park neighbors through daily life. Their whole life is about scams, smokin' and growin' "dope" (weed), going to jail and fighting with the trailer park supervisor, who is an alcoholic former cop who treats the park as his city. It is hilarious from start to finish. The actors are so good, you actually would believe they are as dumb as they appear in show, but brilliant is more the description. I highly recommend getting the entire series and watch from the first episode to let the characters develop, you will not be disappointed. If you're hesitant to buy the entire series, rent from net flix first and see if you like the trailer park humor. There are also many clips on you tube.

This show is now on in the U.S. if you're lucky enough to have Directv. I am completely addicted to it. Watch the episode titled "A man's gotta eat" and if you don't laugh until it hurts, you have no sense of humor. A great show I'm glad we stumbled upon thanks to Directv!!!!
