Virtual Sex with Briana Banks Review

Virtual Sex with Briana Banks
Average Reviews:

I don't understand why I like Briana's performance so much, because she's not really the kind of chick I usually go for. Too blond, tattoos, fake boobs. But her mannerisms and silk-smooth voice turn on something in me. I guess it's just the way she moves, the little gyrations and thrusts. An outstandingly enthusiastic performance.
As for the production values, nothing remarkable there. It's all about Briana. For me, surprisingly.

Morgane et ses nymphes Review

Morgane et ses nymphes
Average Reviews:

This is a wonderful piece of French fantasy, never seen in this country before. It bears many similiarities to Jean Rollin (2 girls trapped in a castle, roads that are endless circles, lesbianism, the use of the French countryside, ruins, even a graveyard. Plus 2 of the actresses acted for Rollin), but weaves its own charm. The print is immaculate and beautifully transferred, and the girls are beautiful.
If you're in the mood for an offbeat fantasy spiced with some nudity and soft core, you won't be disappointed.

Terror on Tour (1983) Review

Terror on Tour (1983)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Before the infamous "Video Nasties" ruling of 1984, in which some of the most graphic and explicit low budget video titles of the preceding years were subjected to censorship and cuts from their pure original form by the powers that be, it almost seemed like anything went in the world of underground movies. 1980 was one of the scene's peak years; you had the notorious "Maniac," "Don't Go in the House," "Eyes of a Stranger," along with such Italian walking dead splatterfests as "Zombie."
One extremely obscure (and in some ways maybe deservedly so) entry of the slasher wave from that year and one that has been largely lost to time is Don Edmonds' "Terror on Tour." Edmonds had already established himself in the world of underground deviant cinema with such low budget schlock fests as the all but banned "Ilsa, She-Wolf of the S.S." (1974). So he was more than well acquainted with the form.
"Terror on Tour" concerns a fictional Kiss-like rock band known as the Clowns, who don costumes and face paint, making them all but indistinguishable from one another, and whose wild stage shows feature such delightful things as mannequins (all female) being chopped up and torn apart in mutilation-style. Unbeknownst to the band, someone is dressing up like one of the the Clowns' members and sadistically murdering their groupies back stage both during and after their concerts.
This film bears the dreaded "Unrated" classification and at times you can see why. There is rampant partying and drug use, such as smoking grass, doing lines, and popping ludes, so much so that one of the victims is identified in the closing credits simply as "freebase chick." And, then there's the stabbings and throat slittings of mostly bare-breasted backstage groupies. Suspicion points to one of the band's roadies, a socially inept loser unable to mingle with women who therefore is obsessed with applying the Clowns' make-up to get a taste of the action. At one point he peeks through a window in envy at one of the drugged-up band members getting it on with one of the groupies.
This film gets three stars from me for the explicitness and general spirit of rock 'n' roll abandon it possesses. That said, all of the groupies are portrayed as brainless and slutty and are indistinguishable from one another, so some more sensitive viewers will not like this platform or all the violence against women depicted here. In addition, all the actors are amateur or one step above it and there are no name players to be found.
Still, I'd love to see a long overdue DVD release of this. If such equally low budget entries as "Pieces" and "Nail Gun Massacre" can get lavish DVD treatment, then why can't this one? I have a 1985 Media Home Entertainment ex-rental VHS copy that I transferred onto DVD-r. I'd love to see this though without such crummy and grainy picture quality.
While not a great movie by any means, if you cherish the bygone days of the early video revolution and like your slasher movies sleazy, low budget and without morals, then "Terror on Tour" should satiate your fixation for a good 90 minutes or so.

Kinamand / Chinaman Review

I rented this film from Netflix (but cannot buy this in a Region 1 DVD!), and I loved this film! Keld is much more likable than the product description of "overweight uninspired Danish plumber" would suggest. His basic decency and very human desire to love makes him lovable, and his life situation makes him a sympathetic character. This is truly a love story. The way it shows the growing feelings between Keld and Ling is absolutely heartwarming. This is done in a quiet, genuine way, so the human emotions, difficulties, and successes are the interest factor here. Overall, a really good experience.

I've gotten the other Sing Along Videos in Spanish and this is by far the best one. It is simply awesome! Weather you get it for youngsters that are learning Spanish as a second language or those that already master Spanish...it is simply the best.
ADVISORY NOTE: IF YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN UNDER 3 OR 4 BE AWARE THAT THERE IS A PIRATE SONG WITH THE VIDEO THAT MAY BE A BIT SCARY TO SOME CHILDREN.
BE AWARE AND PREVIEW WITHOUT THEM IF POSSIBLE. MY SON WHEN HE WAS 2 WAS VERY SCARED WHEN HE WATCHED THAT PARTICULAR SONG VIDEO BUT NOW
THAT HE IS 3-1/2 HE LOVES THE ENTIRE VIDEO. MY FIRST-BORN SON NEVER HAD A PROBLEM AT ANY AGE AND NEITHER DID MY DAUGHTER. EVERY CHILD
IS DIFFERENT! ENJOY!!! LAUGH AND SING AND DANCE WITH YOUR CHILDREN; THEY WILL REMEMBER FOR A LIFETIME!!!

I purchased this set as a Christmas gift for my 29 year old daughter. She was beyond thrilled. She has already started watching this series. She could not believe that I would think to purchase this and the whole series, too. The service on receiving this order was great and the condition the dvd's arrived in was fantastic. I would order from this vendor again.

Sassy Girl Chun-Hyang Korean Drama (2005) Review

Sassy Girl Chun-Hyang Korean Drama (2005)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This was one of the top 10 Korean Drama of 2005, constantly in number 1 spot and rightfully so.
But if you don't like mushy stuff this series isn't for you.. At times it is a bit excessively corny. However the story line is unique and worth watching.. With good acting by Jae Hee and Chae-yeong and almost everyone else.
The editorial review / product description is about 5% right.. The series was made by KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) not PBS. It is the modern day version of the Legend of Chun-Hyang. In this series Seong Chun Hyang (Han Chae Young) is a daughter of a poor cabaret singer. She is pretty, independent and the smartest girl in school. Lee Mong-ryong (Jae Hee) is the bratty son of the police chief, who's always in trouble. The two high school kids are forced into an arranged marriage due to a drunken night incident, where they slept in a same room, which led to a huge rumor and an uncomfortable situation. This is where the story begins.
I'm not going to get into the details and ruin the spoiler. But watch it you might like it. It's the ultimate chick flick with lots of twists and turns and tragedy and finally a happy ending. I absolutely loved the hilarious previous life and other korean drama parodies the series pulled. Like the legend, there's rich and powerful Byun Hak-do who falls in love with Chun-Hyang and manipulates Chun-Hyang to break up with Mong-Ryong. There's also Chae-rin who is Mong-Ryong's first crush who wants the couple to break up.
Another name of the series is.. Delightful Girl Choon-Hyang (or Chun-Hyang).. I wish Amazon could post trailers of the videos.. You can find the trailer on you tube I guess..

Mermaids (1990) Review

Mermaids (1990)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Cher plays a free-spirited, uninhibited and saucy mother of two. Charlotte (Winona Ryder) and Kate (Christina Ricci), who are about 15- and 8-years old respectively, are her daughters. Cher's behavior and appearance is an embarrassment to Charlotte who is trying to think "pure thoughts" on her way to becoming a nun. Ironically (considering Ryder's recent troubles) the part she plays has no interest in new clothes and even refuses new shoes, content with her old square boots that look like they were made in the former Soviet Union during the reign of Stalin. This is a nice (but increasingly familiar) switch on the mother who is embarrassed by her daughter's precocious sexuality, and Cher and Ryder play their parts well.
The story, from a novel by Patty Dann, begins with the trio moving into yet another town, this time somewhere in New England. They are always on the run, so to speak, because Cher is afraid of commitment or of staying around long enough to lose her heart to some guy. Enter predictably a man (Bob Hoskins) with the right stuff to win her over and a cute guy (Michael Schoeffing) to rearrange Charlotte's priorities. Director Richard Benjamin plays it as a romantic comedy ... coming of ager with wit and charm. Ryder is adorably cute as a conservative Christian miss goody two shoes who is always lecturing mom while Cher is voluptuous as the kind of woman who says yes, early and often, but underneath it all has strength and a kind of intuitive wisdom about herself and the people around her. Little Ricci really is the mermaid since she likes to practice holding her breath under water.
Part of the strength of the film is in the dialogue and the sharp repartee between Ryder and Cher. My favorite line is from Charlotte who is always dialoging with God. After seeing Schoeffing, who drives the school bus, and realizing what she is feeling, prays "Oh please God, don't make me fall in love and want to do disgusting things!"

Shrek/Shrek 3D Double Bill (2001) Review

Shrek/Shrek 3D Double Bill (2001)
Average Reviews:

First, there's the Shrek film, which is not only an Academy Award winning Animated film...It's one of the best Films I've ever seen. I HIGHLY recommend that you buy the ASIN=B00003CXXJ version of Shrek which is both Widescreen and Fullscreen DVD, with great extras. The Shrek in this DVD pack is just Full Screen, which is an insult to this amazing film.
Then, there's Shrek 3-D, which is a great "4-D" theme park attraction at Universal Studios. It looses some of it's funniness going from 4-D to 3-D...so see it at the theme park, in all it's glory. Here, it is only presented in Anaglyph (Latin for "annoying"). The 15 minute short is presented in 2 formats, 2-D (why?!?) and Anaglyph (Red/Cyan glasses). Very bad move not to have included a Field Sequential 3-D version, which is what all the 3-D film lovers were readying their wallets for. Anaglyph looks like bad 3-D on all TVs, while Field Sequential looks great, but only works some TVs. Including both would've sold very well.
Lastly...there's NO "Making Of Shrek 3-D" on the 3-D DVD...just 2 versions of a 15 minute short, and an interesting ad/trailer for Shrek 2.
Skip this 2 pack. Buy the Widescreen DVD of Shrek. And hope they re-release Shrek 3-D in Field Sequential 3-D, with a Making Of, as a single DVD, later.

This two-pack contains the single-disc, full-screen version of "Shrek" plus a new 15-minute short, "Shrek 3-D," plus 3-D glasses.Shrek 3-D: When we last left everyone's favorite newlyweds Shrek and Fiona, they were singing and dancing late into the night with Donkey and all the fairytale creatures. Happily ever after...right? Not so fast: The honeymoon has barely begun when Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) is ambushed by Lord Farquaad's (John Lithgow) henchman, Thelonius. A dizzying and hilarious chase ensues with Shrek (Mike Myers) and Donkey (Eddie Murphy) hot on the trail! More action, more adventure, more fun that picks up right where Shrek left off...and drops you off laughing and out-of-breath before "Shrek 2" begins!

Darkest Knight (2002) Review

Darkest Knight (2002)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Sub-par even by the standards of throw-down direct-to-video B-movies, _Darkest Knight_ will disappoint all but the most ardent fan of truly unwatchable badfilm. A cavalcade of cliched heroes and villains apparently drawn at random from 3000 years of history and myth throw trade-school CG effects at one another, while displaying costumes (and acting) that would get them run out of any drunken SCA weekend outing at spearpoint.
Awful by any standard, _Darkest Knight_ fails to make good on even the modest promises made by the cover graphic and trailer. (I'll admit I was drawn in by the images on the box of flying dragons spouting flame. They appear nowhere in the actual movie. Think I have a case to sue for my four bucks back?)
Sound in plain stereo and a 4:3 aspect ratio make, in this age of DTS and 16:9, for a presentation nearly as lacking as the content. Possibly amusing - albeit unchallenging - fare for MST3K-style mockery, but unrewarding else. Oh, and naturally they're planning a sequel. Imagine my delight.

One of the best skate video's ever made in my opinion (and ever since watching the Bones Brigade Video Show I've seen most of them), it's worth buying for John Cardiel's mind-blowing part alone!
The version you can buy ...(produced by Redline) whilst being amazing does not have any of the extras that you get if you buy this DVD from a skate shop (or direct from TWS), so it's up to you - 40 minutes from here, or an hour plus (including a guide to the accordian with Matt Hensley, outtakes, photo gallery, chomp trailer and alternate edits) if you get the "real" version....

I'm big fan of these comic DVDs. They take the actual comic book images/stories and create anime-style movies that you can sit back and watch on your television. Amazon also has these for the Micronauts and for Marvel superheroes such as X-Men, Hulk, and Daredevil among others which I recommend anyone should check out. These DVD are inexpensive, high quality, and can even be a reading tool since the dialog/narration text remains on the screen as it is spoken just like the look of a comic book.

American Pie 2/Beneath the Crust Vol. 2 (Unrated/Full Screen) (2001) Review

American Pie 2/Beneath the Crust Vol. 2 (Unrated/Full Screen) (2001)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a great DVD set. It features both classic American Pie movies, widescreen, special editions. Also, they're both Unrated. I should tell you now, if you haven't seen the movies, this review contains some spoilers.
For the first movie, the Unrated and R-Rated versions have so little difference that if you've only seen it once, you probably wouldn't notice. The only difference that stands out is the famous pie scene. I feel, however, the original one was funnier. The cover promises "more pie," while what we see is a different version of pie. There are five seconds of extra Nadia scenes in which she.... uh... pleasures herself. There is more moaning during the Vicky/Kevin scene. The..... stuff... in the beer is clearer (I honestly didn't notice). That's basically it. No, wait! There's a few more pages to the "sex bible."
Doesn't sound like much, does it? Well, it isn't. But, the Unrated version of part two more than makes up for it. There are at least fifteen, repeat: FIFTEEN differences in this. These even include whole new scenes! Part one only had about 10 seconds of extra footage. This one has six minutes. And all the added scenes are really funny! There is a very special one featuring Jim and his dad in the hospital. Also, a bit more in the "lesbian" scene. Stifler boots some kids out of his house, and criticizes (sp?) Oz's choice of girlfriend. There's tons more, but I think I missed some. Believe me, this Unrated one is great!
So, anyway, both are Unrated in this excellent box-set. I don't mind #1 being like that. If I bought them separate, I'd probably just get the Unrated. It has better cover art. But, the one for part two is awesome, and is the only one that should be watched. This is a great set. They're both Collector's Editions. I don't care. The "Ultimate Edition" of part 1 is ridiculous. There's almost nothing new, except some deleted scenes and a full-screen version, and nobody should watch full-screen stuff.
Buy this great set. It's worthy, and you'll watch them over and over again!
