[MARK OF THE WHIP] Once again, Roman Nowicki gets credit for delivering a new take on a tired format - the erotic horror or horror-porn genre. In America, you can't tie women up (or down) and whip, beat or torture them in film, not since the feminist movement caused a stir back in the mid-70's and put a stop to it (I ain't sayin' it's right or wrong, I'm just sayin'). But in Poland, or the wherever these flicks are produced, such considerations don't exist (again, I ain't sayin' it's right, I'm just sayin'), so what we're graced with here is a degenerate dinner of gluttonous proportions. This is an explicit, hardcore feature, not your usual 'unrated/nonrated' flick that you watch hoping to see something stimulating or fulfilling - odds are, you'll truly be shocked at what you're watching from time to time, at a 'bare' minimum. Wicked, filthy, shocking, gratifying - what's not to love? And no, I'm not involved with this flick in any capacity - 'wish I was... Director's cut w/ reinstated footage, making of, deleted scenes, trailers as well as four bonus sex scenes - it's like Xmas at the Marquis de Sade's place... recommended.

Sex Education Double Feature: Sex Freaks / Experiments in Love Review

Sex Education Double Feature: Sex Freaks / Experiments in Love

One of the two films is from Holland and is interesting in its own way; hard core sex in an instructional sort of way. If you are a film collector then this one will last and not deteriorate over time and is a great peek at film making from that era. If you are a film person this is a good addition to your archives. The second film is what I call a "Soft Blue" film and like some of the 42nd Pete Film combos is not that interesting. The films are in English. Shipment was quick and packaging was good as well.

Hated (1993) Review

Hated (1993)

Hated: G. G. Allin and the Murder Junkies (Todd Phillips, 1993)
What on god's green earth has happened to Todd Phillips in the ten years since he released Hated, the definitive G. G. Allin documentary? How, exactly, can one go from covering a dangerous, violent punk icon to doing a documentary about Phish and making really, really bad Tom Green/Wilson Brothers movies (Road Trip, Old School, Starsky and Hutch)? I don't know, but if you find yourself crawling under the table every time someone even mentions the name Todd Phillips, taking a look at Hated may convince you that there really are the underpinnings of a good documentary filmmaker beneath the present idiocy. Or maybe not. Much of that may depend on your view of his subject, a man on whom no one who's ever encountered his work can be without an opinion.
For the ten or twenty people who still haven't heard of him, G. G. Allin was, as Murder Junkies drummer Dino says, "God, Jesus, and Satan all rolled into one," perhaps the last American rock and roll singer who grasped what the spirit of rock was about, and aimed to bring that spirit back to music. To that effect, Allin would today be called a "performance artist" rather than a rock band frontman, probably. Allin and co.'s now-legendary gigs, three aborted tours' worth (as brother Merle Allin says, "you never plan on finishing a tour-- two reasons: the hospital or the law."), usually started out looking like punk shows, but ended (long before they should have) in fights, riots, raids by the police, overdoses, what have you. Allin's notoriety increased a thousandfold when the talk show circuit picked him up in the early nineties (some of the footage from his appearance on Geraldo is shown here), and as Phillips, who had been making Hated off and on since 1988, got ready to put the finishing touches on the film, Allin had gone from underground icon to public animal number one. The band kicked off the Terror in America tour in 1993, with much of the interview footage with the band members coming just before or just after the start of the tour. Allin was dead within days of the completion of the film, of which Phillips then halted postproduction to add another ten minutes of footage to the end.
Phillips is obviously influenced by the Errol Morris school of documentary filmmaking: just sit back with the camera and let those you're interviewing make complete fools of themselves. But there's more to Phillips than that; he fades into the background at times, but there's never the sense that the subjects of the documentary forget the filmmaker is there. (Phillips has confirmed, in interviews, that this never happened.) Not surprising when you consider that Allin's modus operandi, more often than not, was to attack the audience; the filmmaker is part of the audience, therefore...
The documentary itself is interesting enough, and refuses to paint Allin as either saint or sinner (surprising for a filmmaker who'd been in contact with Allin for five years), letting the viewer make his own judgments on that score. And viewers should, without doubt, though the pervasive language and nudity (both Allin himself and drummer Dino often performed naked or nearly so), strong sexual content, and what I can only describe as adult situations (despite the infantile nature of same) is likely to put the vast majority of viewers off ever renting this. But the real value in the DVD release, and the most ironic portion of it, is fifty minutes of extra footage recorded on the last day of Allin's life. The footage shows the soundcheck and aborted (halfway through the second song) legendary set at New York club The Gas Station, often considered the most violent set the band ever played (it has been reported numerous times that over a hundred attendees rioted after the show was shut down), and about thirty minutes of Allin's antics with Dino and a core group of fans afterwards while they went on a quest for heroin. What emerges in this footage is a picture of G. G. Allin that, while not diametrically opposed to the stage presence and the person that emerges from interviews, is certainly a different, and fascinating, side of Allin's character. In the documentary, Allin is characterized by almost everyone as a complete misanthrope, a person who would just as soon kill you as look at you. The footage of Allin wandering (naked, at the beginning of the trek) around the streets of New York City with eight to ten others and twenty or thirty following at a distance shows a smiling, affable guy who's usually got his arms draped around one or two people, haranguing police but never turning nasty about it, acknowledging fans with smiles and victory signs (yes, there are two fingers raised there), and generally being anything but dangerous-looking, as long as you look past the fact that he's covered in filth and (his own) blood. The end effect is to raise a whole lot of questions about a person for whom society assumed it already had all the answers. The documentary itself is capable; releasing the final footage with it is brilliant. ****

CHAOS Director's Cut (2005) Review

CHAOS Director's Cut (2005)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
By now everybody knows that "Chaos" is supposedly a violent, unrestrained film. It IS violent, and yet restrained, it's one of those films that promises a lot with it's hype and premise, and in this case delivers something FAR below expectations. You know your production is in trouble when the director is a guy who calls himself "The Demon," in this case David "The Demon" DeFalco. Oh DeFalco has spent a lot of time and energy defending the piece as a look at "real life" and pure evil blah blah blah, claiming this is the most brutal movie ever made eventhough Mel Gibson's "The Passion Of The Christ" outdoes the film in pure blood and violence, DeFalco and his producer have also been waging a childish print and video debate with Roger Ebert who rightfully gave the movie zero stars. At the end of the day what brings "Chaos" down isn't the subject matter, but the mere fact that this is pretty poor filmmaking. First there's the look of the movie, it looks like a straight to video production with really simple, pale lighting that doesn't even make the movie look sinister. This really looks more like a first term student film by students still learning to use the equipment. The camera work consists of a few hand held shots and pretty basic framing, nothing too intense. The actors are also very unconvincing, they deliver either performances that come off as too cheesy or too overdone. The biggest problem here though is the script which is so poorly crafted. Characters are cardboard cut-outs with no personality, they merely exist for the purposes of running, grinning, screaming and looking tough or scared. The dialogue is laughable and the story advances with such a choppy, simple rhythm that we can't take any of it seriously. The violence itself only reaches a shocking climax in two scenes, this is not a non-stop orgy of death and killing, in fact, I found the movie to be quite restrained. Oh sure the nipple slicing scene is pretty grotesque, and the final murder in the woods is also birthed from a disturbing use of the imagination, but a more intense, graphic movie would be Meir Zarchi's "I Spit On Your Grave" which makes "Chaos" look like child's play, or Pasolini's "Salo" based on the Marquis De Sade's "120 Days Of Sodom." DeFalco also needs to be a little more original, movie buffs are already signaling out all the obvious "Last House On The Left" rip-offs present in the movie. I see the film more as one of those cheesy attempts by a guy who thinks he's tapped into reality at trying to make "something real" when in fact it doesn't feel real at all. Evil is a topic best looked at when it's done with a balanced blend of violence and psychology as in "The Silence Of The Lambs," "Seven," "The Exorcist," and horror works best when it is attempted with a real sense of the disturbing and gritty as with the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre." "Chaos" is more of a geek show, with scenes of pain, breasts and slobbering villains in a B-movie setting. This is not the most brutal movie ever made, or one of the best, or one worth checking out.

Penny Flame's Expert Guide to Rough Sex Review

Penny Flame's Expert Guide to Rough Sex
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Penny Flame's Expert Guide to Rough Sex is a very solid, and incredibly hot, film. In her lesson, Penny stresses the importance of consent, trust, communication, safewords, hydration, etc., then goes over hair-pulling techniques, slapping techniques, and which body parts can and can't withstand hitting. Some viewers experienced in these activities may find little new information in this section, but I found all of it very helpful. There is also an extremely informative choking demonstration in the bonus scenes section.
So, educational? Definitely. But is it hot? Oh my god -- unequivocally, yes.
The first scene stars Penny and Derrick Pierce. I'm speechless about this scene. Nothing I say here could explain just how enjoyable and sexy it is. Penny and Derrick's chemistry is front and center, and it never falters. Derrick's style of domination is perfect, and it is clear throughout the scene that every cell in Penny's body is saying yes -- she is smiling, giggling, surrendering. The scene is laced with choking, slapping, hair-pulling, and orgasm control, but the most delicious element is the dirty talk.
Scene two is a femdom scene between Aiden Starr and Devin. This was my first time seeing a true femdom scene, and it was such a treat. Aiden is stunning and incredibly fluent in domination that is both believable and unique (one of my favorite lines of hers during this scene, spoken like a true queen: "I am going to recline while you do the work."). Throughout the scene, Aiden calls Devin everything from a "streetwalker" to a "service dog." Devin is quickly trained to respond to her with "yes, ma'am." It's not long because he's begging for her permission, then crying out with ecstasy when he finally gets what he wants.
My least favorite scene was the last one, between Lexi Belle and Mark Davis. Lexi is adorable as always, but the communication between Lexi and Mark is sparse compared to the other scenes. Mark dominates Lexi, punishing her with choking, and with swift slaps. Mark is intent on pushing Lexi's limits. He asks her to put her arms behind her back, and that his where they stay for most of the scene.
The first two scenes are especially top-notch, showing performers with serious chemistry and visible enjoyment, while Lexi and Mark's scene should satisfy those enticed by more extreme submission. Get this DVD if you are at all interested in rough sex or watching rough sex; it is superb.

frauleins in uniform Review

frauleins in uniform
Average Reviews:

Leave it to Erwin C. Deitrich (producer of a dozen Jess Franco 70's sleaze flix, and I don't mean that in a bad way) to re-invent Nazisploitation by offering us an upbeat comedy version of an atrocious chapter in wartime history. In this 1973 cheesecake, the Nazis are of the Sargeant Schultz variety as they take on the Russians near the front. The frauleins are all cute Eurobabes who act like they're members of a select sorority at a summer camp or glee club, eager to 'please' anything or anyone for the Nazi Party, and I do mean party. They're all so happy, upbeat and obliging it's hysterical. It's like 'Springtime For Hitler' all over again. What makes it different is that there is no torture, rape, shower scenes, coersion or abhorent conditions here, all of the cliches are done away with - it's like 'Hogan's Heroes' with abundant nudity. One of my favorite lines (and their were a few) spoken by one of the babes to another, "If worse comes to worst, spread your legs, the regime always needs more soldiers". Cheezy, breezy and super sleazy, these frauleins spend more time in birthday suits than in uniform, and that 'suits' me fine...

Tristan Taormino's Expert Guide to the G-Spot Review

Tristan Taormino's Expert Guide to the G-Spot
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As a woman who also makes love with women, this video turned out to be a must have for my video library. The main thrux of what I took away from watching this was that even if you know how to find your lover's G-Spot, or have your G-Spot found, it doesn't mean you are reaching your full G-Spot potential.
Tristan Taormino's down-to-earth approach is very user-friendly, and also very arousing. She starts with a couples G-Spot workshop, where she touches on G-Spot 101. Once that foundation is established, it is accompanied by people having extremely hot G-Spot enhanced sex, with very convincing results.
While the couples are having sex, there are little pop-up bubbles that offer additional ways to incorporate her G-Spot, and take things to a whole new level. There are both basic and advanced techniques, and G-tailored toys for this oh-so-special spot, some of which I had never seen, and I am no rookie to the G-Spot. This video elaborates on almost every aspect of sex that can incorporate G-Spot stimulation. If we study hard, and do our homework, this video could make all of us who want to please our women look like a bunch of cassanova geniuses!
If your sex partners are women, you will blow their mind with these new positions. If you are also a woman yourself, you will learn new tools to show your lover, so they can bring you even more pleasure. If you're with someone who is open to expanding on your repetoire in bed, bring this video home, and tell her you want to make her scream. You will win her over. Trust me.

Coming Soon Erotic Grindhouse Trailers From The 70's Review

Coming Soon Erotic Grindhouse Trailers From The 70's
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I wish someone had already reviewed this. But now at least I can help others understand what they are buying here. If you have a trailer collection and you like the unusual, weird and shocking trailers of the grindhouse 70s, this is NOT IT. This is not really typical grindhouse, this is outright porno trailers. If you want an amusing collection of trailers, definitely get the Something Weird Video collection... even the erotic trailers are amusing, silly fun in SWV's "Extra Weird Sampler".
But these trailers in this collection are not silly or amusing... it is nothing but nasty porno... like the films your buddies brought to your bachelor party from the XXX store back in the 80s. How many times can you see the male appendage "erupt" without getting ill. I fast forward skipped through title after title, and that is 85% of what is on this trailer collection so far... I could only stand it for about 30 trailers. Especially don't buy it and sit down with your wife or girlfriend and expect to have a few laughs together... unless you think having a skull shaped like a frying pan will give you a certain "apparence sophistiquée".
So... if countless trailers for stag films is what you're looking for... (and if it is, you need to get a life!) then you don't want to be fooled into thinking this is "grindhouse erotica". It's really the stag films the XXX movie house in the nasty part of town was playing in the 80s. My copy will end up in its well-deserved new home... my trash can, far away from my DVD collection of trailers.

Trailer Trash Part 2: Grindhouse Sleaze Sampler Review

Trailer Trash Part 2: Grindhouse Sleaze Sampler
Average Reviews:

This DVD set isn't bad (in fact, some will love it), but it was not what I was expecting. For the sake of my fellow consumers, let me say 2 things:
1. I HAVE seen this set, unlike the misleading 5-star review that admits "i haven't seen this."
2. These are newly-made trailers featuring vintage footage. In other words, some fans of retro smut bought up some old prints and transferred them to DVD and other modern formats. In addition, they made new trailers for these films, which is what this DVD showcases. When watching, it was initially confusing to see grainy footage in the background and shiny new font across the screen, but it's not poorly done. Just not what I was expecting.
