(More customer reviews)Jamin Griffiths' insightful and personal exploration of the aftermath of 2004's devastating (and now virtually overlooked) Hurricane Charley is a tragic tale of real life woe - and a must-see. Clearly a caring director, Griffiths has masterfully gained the confidence of a group of people dealt a horrific blow - and who are now caught in a vicious cycle from which it seems nearly impossible to escape. If even a fraction of young director Griffiths' compassion were matched by equal parts common sense on the government's part, the subjects of his documentary might be in a very different place. This is a cautionary tale of how half-measures and half-hearted assistance can result in half-baked solutions - and broken lives.
