Many big fans of the original claim that you shouldn't take one step into going near this one.But big Lilo and Stitch fans should definitely give this one a go.And they could turn out suprised, but this is suprisingly great stuff.Sure it's not as good as the first, but as a film in it's own right, everything here is spot on fantastic once again. The new villian,Dr.Hamsterwheel(Hamsterviel! It is Hamsterviel!!)is the greatest and most hilarious character I have seen in the way of animated gerbil like creations(I AM NOT GERBIL-LIKE,I AM HAMSTER-LIKE!).His accent is fanastic. His voice talent,Jeff Bennett,is fantastic. And his one-liners are incredible!Such as 'I AM IRKED!'at the disappointing sight of Experiment 625(also a new and hilarious character),'YOU THINK YOU'RE SO...PHONE BOOK,PHONE BOOK!!!',where he's starts a threat and discovers that Lilo is higher than he is,and finally,'I WASN'T REALLY GONNA CUT YOU IN HALF,IT WAS A JOKE!DIDN'T JUMBA PUT A FUNNY BONE IN YOU?',after Sparky saves Stitch and Lilo calls for help, then he get scared! It's brilliant!
Also many of the cast have stayed in to do just as well if not better,Daveigh Chase is amazing as Lilo once again,Stitch has a new problem finding his 'cousins',and Jumba and Pleakley are much, much funnier in this one!The only two downfalls are that the Elvis music has been cut short to just one song of his,'Slicin' Sand',which ain't his best, but at least Gareth Gates doesn't destroy another classic like last time, and Aloha,E Komo Mai,which you'll hear over the end credits,or before the start of the TV show,is one of the best songs I've heard in ages.So why is it not featured on the Island Favourites CD?Also this film could be a bit longer,I hate seeing Lilo and Stitch end, especially after only an hour or so,but I've heard rumours of a third film coming soon so keep me posted.
The plot of Stitch The Movie is good but doesn't always match up to it's expectations.First off,you only see 2 new experiments,625 and 221,so the rest of the excitement is left solely to the series. But there's all kinds of twists and turns here as a wonderful new adventure unfolds.
Overall Stitch The Movie may not look like much, but it's just as supremely entertaining as the original Lilo and Stitch, hitting all the right notes again, and keeping us all entertained until we found out the truth about the rumoured third movie.
So now I'm gonna stick this back in my DVD player and go make myself a sandwich!

Disney sets a record for bringing out a direct-to-video sequel after the initial film. "Stitch: The Movie" arrives only a year after the enjoyable "Lilo & Stitch" played theaters and reunites the title character (otherwise known as Experiment 626) with his earth-bound family in the warm Hawaiian sun. The story has a nice set-up: since Stitch is Experiment 626, where are the first 625 invented by Dr. Jumba Jookiba? Odds are the island paradise will soon be spaceport central for many more aliens. As with other made-for-video Disney titles, the animation is not as complex or rich. This hurts this sequel even more since the original film had such a unique, pastel beauty. Unfortunately, the other elements of the film are just as flat. Even though most of the original voice cast returns, the entire production lacks the same spirit and charm, and the story's theme is recycled (get ready for more "Ohana means family"). On the plus side, the film starts with an Elvis Presley song ("Slicin' Sand") and is only 64 minutes long. The movie sets up the Disney TV series "The Adventures of Lilo & Stitch". "--Doug Thomas"
